I said it in my note when I restacked this post, but this is one of the most inspiring things I've read in a long time. I've always been a writer, but it's been a long time since any of my work has seen the light of day. I recently became a new mom, and I've been toying with the idea of starting a Substack to both chronicle my thoughts on parenthood, but also to give myself a creative outlet-- something for myself to remind me to be my own person. I kept getting hung up on the idea that it would need to be perfectly planned out to start. Your post reminded me that it doesn't need to be, and if I waited for it to be perfect, I'd likely never start. This is the inspiration I needed to pick up the pen again. Thank you! Subscribed and looking forward to every post.
Welcome! I’m pretty new here too and it does feel daunting to share your own writing (I’m also a copywriter) I’ve been devouring podcasts to hear about other people’s journeys starting out and finding lots of encouragement in hearing their stories. Can’t wait to hear more about your passions, especially tarot! 🌀
absolutely love this, can’t wait to read more. Also eternally the girl crying at the most seemingly ordinary things - hears to being a deep feeler! It’s a super power!
Just read your NYT article, honestly gave me life ✨cheers to starting your substack 😊
Thanks, Anne! My NYT essay is my favourite thing I’ve ever written ❤️🔥
This is so amazing Gubba! To be honest, I didn't even see the typo when I first read it 😂 Can't wait to read the next one!
Xx
Haha I love that! Thanks Marc! Xx
The heart doesn’t make sense most of the time, which is why it’s much more fun to follow it!
You are a wonderful writer and I look forward to reading more xx
So much more fun! Glad to have a friend who follows theirs so hard too xxx
